I'm sure you guys are getting annoyed that I've been here for over a year and don't speak very good french. So to help remedy that, I'm asking you guys to post words or phrases that I should know or pronunciations I've fucked up.

I'll also be posting guesses as to things I should know and you can tell me if it's right or not.

Do they directly translate to "whatever" and "as you want" or is there more to it?

En même temps, je me demande comment Rémy connaît le mot "shag", c'est super british. Ryan le comprendrait, mais ne l'utilise pas.

Just say "cold" for common cold : rhume

root = soutenir ("supporter" is false) une équipe

cheer = encourager une équipe

for the english word "so" when do you use "si" and when do you use "ainsi" and are there other words for it I should know?

Examples:
I am so hot for Jean
I'm an american, so the girl was not interested in me
So what's going on tonight?

I guess the second one is the one I care about most, the <condition>, so <result> that I use quite often.

You can translate "so" by "alors".

Je suis un américain, alors la fille n'était pas intéressée par moi.

Actually, in the you're are american so obv the girl won't even look at you, the word would rather be "donc" i think, even if alors would works too.
But for 3rd one, alors is correct
