GP Birmingham 31 mai - 1er juin

ya mon méga pote pierre aka pop sur mtgfr, que isma connait et vous recommandera surement, qui est interessé pour venir vendredi

il voudrait juste savoir si les trajets aéroport/appart et appart/gp couteront pas trop d'argent car il s'est acheté trop de chemises dior et n'a plus d'euros

il peut être sur des notres dès les jours prochains, suffit que vous soyez ok

Le GP est vers l'aeroport et le trajet GP/centre ville revient à 3 livres (environ 4 euros) par train.

La retraite prévue à mon boulot le jeudi 29 et vendredi 30 a été annulée Ca m'arrange doublement: 1) j'étais dans le groupe chargé de la préparer et c'était vraiment du boulot et 2) je peux donc partir vendredi matin !
Je serais donc comme prévu dans le vol Easyjet de vendredi matin.
Ca fait un peu chier d'avoir réservé il y a 2 semaines un autre billet pour East Midlands vendredi après-midi, mais j'essaierai de le convertir sur une autre destination.


Pour ceux qui partent jeudi, vous avez un hébergement jeudi soir ?

We actually still have a space in the apartment since Bourdi's friend is not coming in the end.

Infos pratiques:

L'appart est dans le quartier de l'Arcadian; y a beaucoup de magasins et c'est en plein milieu du Chinatown local. Donc bouffe asiatique à gogo !

Pas mal de bars et boites sympas dans le coin, accessibles à pied.
Ma selection:
(vendredi) Carling Academy. Salle de concerts + boite, c'est l'Usine locale. Le vendredi, il y a une soirée, appellée Ramshackles, avec "indie rock/pop" sur une dancefloor et "alternative electro/beats" sur l'autre.

Ils ont aussi une soirée thème rock/punk/metal/etc le samedi.


Sinon y a aussi l'Oceana vers l'appart. Grosse boite moderne avec plusieurs dancefloors et bars. Il y a une soirée samedi avec RnB/House/etc sur un floor et Disco 70/80 sur l'autre.

Finalement, y a aussi un bar/boite "Reflex" à coté. C'est un club exclusivement branché 80s. Je crois que c'est la meme chaine que celui où on etait allé à Nottingham...

Info about the area we will be staying in (Arcadian). It is in the heart of the local Chinatown and there are many shops and bars around.
Clubbing: the Carling Academy (huge alternative scene) is closeby. I would be quite interested in going there on Friday when they host the Ramshackles event (indie pop + indie electro).

They also have a rock/punk/metal/etc event on Sat night.

There is also the Oceana around (http://www.oceanaclubs.com/birmingham/events.html) which appears to have an interesting event on Sat night (especially the disco dancefloor).
Finally, there is a "reflex" club nearby. It is a chain specialized in 80s themed parties; I think we have been to them in Nottingham and it was a blast.
